Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers! It certainly is a blessing to wake up this morning. I thank God for allowing me to see another day. I do realize that it was not because I was so good on yesterday, but it was His grace and mercy that woke me up.

Those of you that still have your mother here you’re blessed. Cherish every moment because when she is gone, I promise you that you will miss her. My mom passed away in 2008 . She was my best friend. One of the most loyal persons I have ever known. If you had her for a friend, you were truly blessed. If she loved you, you knew it. If she wasn’t too fond of you, you knew that to. She was true to who she was.

Good mothers are very special people. The love that they have for their children is amazing! She gives of herself at all times. I remember growing up and thinking how wonderful it would be if whenever I become an adult and start having children, if I could be half the mother my mom is. I’ll be batting a thousand!

The bible says in Ephesians 6:2-3: “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: “If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Children that honor and respect their parents also honor and respect God himself, and blessings follow.
